Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is the next generation of Platelet Rich Plasma treatments. PRF is a 100% natural substance derived from your blood that can treat areas in the face that show the first signs of aging. To perform a PRF treatment in avIVa, we collect plasma from your blood. When spun in the centrifuge without additives, the blood separates into different components. One of those components is the rich fibrin matrix that we inject back into the body to jumpstart your tissue’s healing process.

Consultation
Before your PRF treatment at avIVa in Green Bay, you’ll meet with one of our providers for a consultation. During this time, we will discuss your skin concerns and what you want to achieve. Based on your consultation, we will determine if PRF is right for you!

Platelet- Rich Fibrin PRF
Once you get comfortable in our treatment room, we will apply a medical-grade numbing cream to ensure a pain-free treatment. After that sets in, we will draw a small amount of your blood. Next, we extract fibrin for your treatment. Once we prep the PRF, we will then inject the PRF using microneedles to the targeted areas of your skin.

Next Steps
PRF is typically performed in a series of treatments spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart. Results tend to last 1 to 3 weeks, and the volume will naturally dissipate. Long-term benefits such as skin tightening, collagen production, and enhanced skin quality may take 4 months to set in. After repeated treatments, these results can last from 6 to 12 months.

1 Week Prior
Wear sunscreen for the week leading up to your appointment to prevent UV damage.
3 Days Prior
Drink 64 oz. of water each day for 3 days before your PRF treatment.
The Day Of
Don’t wear makeup on the day of your appointment.

After receiving PRF in Green Bay, avIVa Infusions recommends:
No Touching/Massaging
Avoid touching your face for at least 6 hours following your facial.
Wash Your Face
When you’re ready to wash your face, wash your hands with soap first. Wash your face using lukewarm water only; avoid cleansers. Then, delicately pat dry. Wash in this way for 3 days.
To Sleep
Sleep on your back for 2 nights.
No Exfoliating
Do not use exfoliating products for at least 3 days.
